No, that isn't Rupert Everett, that's plastic

Saw Rupert Everett on the Rachel Ray show today while flipping channels and I didn't believe that it was him. He looks so weird. Too much bad plastic surgery. And I can't help but ask, why? I mean, dudes age gracefully, there is no need (I don't think chicks need it either for that matter). I seriously was like, who is this guy? I didn't really get that it was him until they flashed his name on the screen. Which I'm guessing they had to do because otherwise everyone would be like, who the heck is this? Seriously. And then Rachel Ray had the nerve to say that he looked good for 49, and I was like, did they pay her extra to say that? Dang. Actors are real weird.

I decided to compile a list of my favorite horror movies. This is a list I compiled because a friend asked me for recommendations on horror films. There are so many sub-genre's within horror films that it is almost impossible to narrow a list down to 10, so I thought I would pick a couple categories and give you a list of my favorites that fall within that genre.

Movies that really scared me
28 Days Later
The Descent
The Blair Witch Project

70s creepy flicks
The Omen
Rosmary's Baby

Teenage slasher movies (popularized in the 80s and probably my favorite sub-genre)
Sorority House Massacre
Friday the 13th
Sleepaway Camp

Horror comedy (whether they ment to be funny or not is up for discussion)
Sorority Babes and the Slim Ball Bowl-O-Rama

Got any to add? Know of any that you know that I love and I forgot to mention? Feel free to leave a comment. This is a work in progress.

This is news?

This news article from CNN.com talks about how people use film quotes in everyday life. I don't understand, this is news? I mean, it's like, so what? Common knowledge right? Silly news writers.

Dollhouse etc

Dollhouse was pretty good tonight. I think it got off to a bit of a rocky start, but it just seems to get better with each episode. I was reading some Q & A with Joss on hulu and just had to past this little gem along:

I recently read an interview with you in Mother Jones magazine. "Geek God" I think was the term they used for you. How do you feel about your success? What advice do you like to give other "geeks" with good ideas? — Jennifer Russell
If you have a good idea, get it out there. For every idea I've realized, I have ten I sat on for a decade till someone else did it first. Write it. Shoot it. Publish it. Crochet it, sauté it, whatever. MAKE.

As for my success, well, I'm for it.

Love it. Joss is so inspirational.
