I guess I still have jet lag, because I woke up at 6 am today and couldn't go back to sleep. Which, if you know me at all, you know is very bizarre. So I watched Amelie, and took some pictures, and got some coffee, and checked some internets. All before 11 am. I shouldn't even be up yet.
So this horse drawn carriage was free to take pictures of, but unfortunately the next one down costed monies. I mean really, you're gonna charge me to take a picture of you and your horse, old man? Capitolism man. Shit.
Scotland is rad. They have ice cream bars called Feast, for one. And sandwiches called toasties, which are just like, you know, toasted sandwiches. Delicious. Every building here in Aberdeen is made out of stone and looks really cool. There seems to be a pub on every block, and I think we've been to 4 or 5 different ones already. The prices seem cheap, but the dollar isn't worth as much as the pound, so it about evens out.
Sleeping on the floor is not rad. It is like, the oposite of rad. Bad. But that's the price you pay for free accomadations. Brian has some cool roommates. When we arrived there was a note on the fridge that said 'yanks go home' and other witty hilarities that I can't think of at the moment. They were left from Brian's roommate George, who likes to kid around, you know, like putting shampoo on Brian's door handle or leaning an ironing board against the door while he's in the bathroom.
So in the London airport we met this kid who was with his parents on the way back from a Star Wars convention in Brussels. It was rad. He was 6, and mad crazy into star wars. It was awesome.
Trying to remember other details, but my brain isn't working right now. I'll try and post more later.
This is me preparing for Scotland.
In other news, I stayed home sick yesterday because of this massive migraine that tried to kill me, and when I woke up at 1pm I watched a couple of episodes of weeds during which for some reason I could not stop thinking about the Sims. I think its that opening, with that song, little boxes on a hill side, and the graphic with all the houses in rows... dang, I really miss playing that game.
Anyway I leave for Scotland on Saturday, which is super exciting. I'll try and post a few blogs while I'm there if I find internet access.
Dude, the rooster is so my spirit animal. For 1. My grandmother collects them. This is one that she has in her living room. For 2. I was born in the Chinese year of the rooster. For 3. I once let some paint brushes dry on this plastic thingy for like a week and when I peeled them off the paint spot that was left looked exactly like a rooster. Thus, the rooster is my spirit animal. The End.
