27 Dresses

I just saw 27 Dresses, starring Katherine Heigl and James Marsden. It was very cute, in that hip and fun romantic comedy way. Heigl was dazzling and down to earth, something she always pulls of so well, as the "always a bridesman never a bride" Jane, and Marsden was charming and just plain good looking as her love interest Kevin, who writes about weddings for a newspaper, what a pair!

There were some great co-star performances too, the always enjoyable Edward Burns, and a couple of other familiar faces like Judy Greer (Kitty Sanchez from Arrested Developement) as Jane's friend Casey, and Krysten Ritter (who had a few episode stints on shows like Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls).

I gotta give the film props for being written and directed by women, love to see that, wanna see more of it. In fact the director, Anne Fletcher, has credits as choreographer in some of my all time favorites, like Firefly and Buffy.

If you're up for a fun romantic comedy this weekend, check out 27 Dresses.
